National Tracky Dack Day attracts fundraising events of all shapes and sizes, but one very determined group of cyclists has taken theirs to a new level.
On 25 April, 2013 team âPurpose 2 Pedalâ will take off over the gruelling Adelaide hills in an event which will take place over 4 days to help raise funds for national childrenâs charity TLC for kids.
The team of cyclists from TOLL wants to help these amazing kids and their families in their greatest time of need. Their driving force is their belief that sick kids need and deserve the support of all Australians.
As team leader, Daniel McDonald says, âKids are our future and without the opportunity to overcome the challenges they have in these difficult times, their carefree and positive approach to life is shattered, let’s team up to ensure we reduce their anguish, we can join together and make this less overwhelming and a time in their lives they can get through. We may even help put a smile on their faces.â
Of the 1.8M kids admitted to hospital annually, TLC for kids currently reach more than 615,000, or roughly 34%. TLC for kidsâ mission is to raise enough funding to reach 100% of these children.
Purpose 2 Pedalâs goal is to raise $11,250 from this ride.
TLC for kids is thankful to all cyclists taking part in the challenge!
