Laptops and other devices that help kids stay connected to their friends make a huge difference during a long hospital stay. We’re so glad you liked your surprise Joel!

We were delivered this car by surprise and we never realised how much we needed a smart car!! When you’re making emergency visits to busy hospitals all day, it’s sometimes extremely difficult to get a car park, but it’s very rare we can’t squeeze this little beauty into a spot right outside the front doors (where all the most important deliveries belong!).

We owe a very big thanks to SMITHS TRUCKS for the use of this trendy vehicle, which has already resulted in a noticeable increase in enquiries… people are always asking about us now when we’re out on the road!

Robert & Vikki are also very active in growing the TLC network by introducing us to celebs and business people who can help. Vikki is also a member of our Ball Committee and has been known to rally up a large portion of our auction items from unsuspecting businesses!

Vanessa is just one of the many children TLC has helped as a result of the Freemasons donation. Vanessa has Dravet’s Syndrome, a condition causing her to have seizures almost every day.  She has difficulty concentrating and just copes with getting through a day at school. She is very unsteady on her feet and gets tired easily.

More than anything in the world, Vanessa enjoys going to concerts, theatre, listening to music and watching people dance.  She told her mum that she would love to go to the Cuban ‘Ballet Revolucion’ which was performing at the Victorian Arts Centre.  The tickets were expensive and Mum spoke to her health care worker hoping to find a way to make this happen.

TLC for kids was happy to provide tickets for the family to see this wonderful performance and this very special girl was over the moon!

We received this special thanks from Mum:  “Just want to thank TLC so very much for getting us tickets to see ‘Ballet Revolucion’. It was a wonderful afternoon. Our daughter really enjoyed watching the dancers, she just loves musicals, dancing and music. She had the biggest smile on her face.  Thank you very much.”

Thank you so much for helping me hear again with hearing aids.
it is so wonderful to be able to hear things again.and not worry about not hearing my children.

I lost my hearing 2 yrs ago after getting an nasty  infection and since then have had to rely lip reading
in most situations.  I was always worried about not hearing my children if they were hurt and  needed me as three of my
4 children have a fragile bone decease, as I do  myself also. (ostiogenisis-imperfeta type1) and my youngest daughter also as cystic fibrosis.

Thankyou so much, life is so much easier and less stressful  knowing if my children need my i can hear them calling for me.
and my  children are happier i can help the with home work and reading.and not have  to worry if i am looking at the faces.
i have 4 wonderful and brave  children and they inspire me everyday, thakyou so much for letting me hear  there beautiful voices again

2011 has been a challenging year so far with the many natural disasters we’ve faced globally. It’s hard not to feel overwhelmed or even a bit helpless when you’re in a different location to a crisis.
